There are a number of veterinary clinics within the San Javier municipality, in both the main town of San Javier and the coastal area of Santiago de la Ribera.

Please remember, municipal by-laws require dogs to be kept on a lead at all times in public areas, excrement should be cleaned up and dogs are not allowed on public beaches. The local police are empowered to administer steep fines for owners who do not respect the laws regarding animal behaviour.
