Up to 42 degrees this week: Andalusia weather forecast July 1-7
Get ready for the start of the really torrid weather in southern Spain
The weather forecast for the autonomous community of Andalucía this week, the first week of July, shows barely a single cloud in the sky from Monday to Sunday. So it’s no surprise that parts of the region could see temperatures exceed 40ºC/104ºF.
As you might expect, these extreme temperatures are forecast in the Córdoba countryside, around Montoro and Andújar, where temperatures could reach as high as 42ºC by Friday July 5.

These very high temperatures often come accompanied by weather warnings, but as the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) only issues these warnings three days in advance – because the weather changes so much – for now the only warning in place for Andalucía is in Seville on Wednesday July 3.

These are outliers, though, and the majority of Andalucía, both inland and on the coast, will have maximum temperatures around the mid-30s during the day, dropping down to the low-20s at night-time.
Predictably, the coast of Cádiz will get some strong winds of up to 30kmh this week, specifically on Thursday 4 and Friday 5, but for the most part it will be a calm week wind-wise.

- Tuesday July 2: Min 16ºC; Max 37ºC
- Wednesday July 3: Min 17ºC; Max 39ºC
- Thursday July 4: Min 15ºC; Max 40ºC
- Friday July 5: Min 16ºC; Max 42ºC
- Saturday July 6: Min 16ºC; Max 36ºC
- Sunday July 7: Min 16ºC; Max 36ºC
