Until December 20 MISHO art exhibition in Águilas
The Águilas art exhibition is open to visit until the Friday before Christmas
The Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal in Águilas is hosting an exhibition of paintings by artist Michal Vilhelmer, entitled ‘MISHO’, until Friday December 20, 2024.
Águilas’s Casa de Cultura venue is located in Plaza Asunción Balaguer, close to the tourist office in the centre of the town and just a short walk from the main harbour and the Playa de la Colonia.
The MISHO exhibition can be visited for free from Monday to Friday, between 6pm and 9pm.
Vilhelmer, the artist behind the paintings on display, said of his work, “For more than three decades, I have explored various artistic disciplines: painting, drawing, writing and photography. However, I have always maintained an intimate connection with oil painting, a medium that allows me to convey deep and complex emotions.”
On the meaning of his impressive body of work, Vilhelmer emphasised the subjective experience of the person seeing it as his main goal.
“My work seeks to awaken an innate sense in the viewer. Through my paintings, I invite to an introspective journey, where reason merges with intuition. My aim is that each observer discovers his or her own truth in my creations, without the need for words, which I call ‘augmented perception’.”
