ARCHIVED - Training programme for unemployed focuses on welding and installation of solar panels
Two key areas considered to be development areas for the region as solar panel installations become increasingly big business here in Murcia
The ADLE employment services are offering two courses for the unemployed to retrain with new skills relevant to the employment prospects here in the Murcia region and the Cartagena ADLE is offering 30 places for those registered with the unemployment offices to acquire a Level 2 Certificate of Professionalism in the specialties of welding with coated electrodes and TIG and assembly and maintenance of photovoltaic solar installations, two training actions with which participants will improve their employability when accessing to two sectors with low levels of unemployment.
Training will be taught by specialists and includes theoretical-practical sessions in a classroom-workshop and professional non-labor practices in companies in the municipality of Cartagena.
"The methodology of this type of training actions is 'learning by doing', which allows students to put into practice what they have learned and to function in a real work environment", explained the councilor for the Employment area and president of ADLE, Irene Ruiz.
"It is an opportunity to improve your qualification and strengthen your skills, thereby significantly increasing your chances of joining the labor market, in addition, in two sectors with high demand for professionals."
The course "Coated Electrode and TIG Welding" will begin on September 28, 2020 and end on April 28 of next year, with a schedule from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. With a total duration of 680 hours, 640 hours will be training and 40 will be used for internships in companies. The registration period, already open, closes on September 11.
The course 'Assembly and maintenance of photovoltaic solar installations' will last 540 hours (420 hours of training and 120 hours of internships in companies), will begin on October 13, 2020 and end on March 1, 2021 The hours of the sessions will be from 16:00 to 20:00. The registration period is also already open and ends on September 15.
To be able to participate in any of the two training actions, those interested must have the title of ESO or meet the requirements to access a level 2 professional certificate.
Places are limited to 15 students per course. Requests must be made in the ADLE Registry, requesting an appointment by phone at 968 12 89 77.
