The last festive celebration of the season is growing closer, with Spain getting ready to celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings on January 5. In Cartagena, the procession of the Three Kings, or ‘Cabalgata de Reyes’ is one of the biggest celebrations of the year and is usually attended by the whole city.

Baltasar, Melchor and Gaspar will travel through the streets of Cartagena accompanied by large festive floats, music, sweets and, of course, gifts!

This year, the route has been changed slightly to include wider streets compatible with Covid-19 safety guidelines. The Three Kings will set off at 6.30pm from Alameda de San Antón (at the crossroads with Calle Francisco de Borja) down to the Plaza de España roundabout, then they will parade down Paseo Alfonso XIII up to the Peral model submarine roundabout.
