Spain is heating up: Weekend weather forecast April 24-28
Large parts of Spain will top 30ºC over the next couple of days

Average temperatures on Saturday April 26
After more than a few stormy days, the weather is now shifting across Spain as a high-pressure system takes over. The front that brought heavy rain earlier this week is retreating, making way for more stable conditions, clearer skies and a noticeable rise in temperatures as we head towards the weekend.
In the coming days, many areas, especially in the south, could see temperatures climbing to 30ºC or more. In fact, much of the country will experience temperatures between 8 and 12 degrees above the seasonal average. The Azores anticyclone is settling in, ensuring mostly calm and dry conditions at least until the weekend.

Weather outlook on Thursday April 24
Expect clear skies throughout much of Spain on Thursday April 24, though some inland valleys may wake up to morning fog. Northern regions will see more clouds and the occasional light shower, particularly in mountainous areas where afternoon heat could trigger isolated storms.
By Friday April 25, a new trough is forecast to arrive, bringing the possibility of renewed showers and storms into the weekend.
Temperatures have already started to climb and that trend will continue across much of the country. In central and northern areas near mountain ranges, temperatures could rise by 6 to 8 degrees.
The heat will be most intense in the southern third of Spain, particularly on Thursday, when the Guadiana and Guadalquivir valleys, as well as inland areas of the southeast, may reach or exceed 30ºC. Sevilla is likely to be among the hottest spots.

Weather outlook on Friday April 25
Mornings have been cool lately, particularly inland in northern areas, but minimum temperatures will gradually rise through the weekend. Frost will only be found at high elevations in the Pyrenees. In parts of Andalucía and along the Mediterranean coast, night-time lows may not fall below 15ºC.
Elsewhere, most of Spain will enjoy highs between 20 and 25ºC on Thursday and Friday. The Ebro Valley and the eastern Cantabrian coast will also see a notable warm-up, with cities like Zaragoza potentially touching 30ºC.
By Saturday April 26, temperatures are expected to dip in the north, while the southeast could continue heating up—Malaga might even brush 30ºC. On Sunday April 27, it’ll be cooler along the Mediterranean but warmer again in other regions.

Weather outlook on Sunday April 27
Cloud cover will increase on Sunday, especially in the north. High clouds will dominate, thickening into the afternoon in the northeast and Balearic Islands, where storms and hail are possible. Light drizzle may also appear along the eastern Cantabrian coast and in the western Pyrenees early in the day, but most other parts will remain dry with variable cloudiness.
Looking ahead to Monday April 28, the weather is set to remain pleasant throughout Spain. The Azores high will continue to dominate, delivering sunny skies and above-average warmth to most regions, particularly the south and east.
