Click HereSan Javier council is committed to protecting the environment, which is why considerable effort is made by the council to make recycling as easy as possible for its residents and visitors. In addition to the blue, yellow and green recycling containers that can be found on almost every main street, collecting paper and cardboard, glass, tins and "brick" drink cartons, there are also two recycling and waste disposal centres, or eco-parks which accept a wide range of household goods and unwanted materials.
There are also olive oil collection bins, and special containers for unwanted clothing or children's toys and some supermarkets also collect batteries for recycling.
