ARCHIVED - Possible storms in the north-west and altiplano on Tuesday
Little change in overall temperatures elsewhere from Monday
State meteorological agency Aemet has issued yellow alerts for the north-west of the Murcia Region which includes Caravaca de la Cruz, Moratalla etc, as well as the Altiplano (Yecla and Jumilla) on Tuesday, with the possibility of storms, rain and perhaps even hail.
The sky will be slightly cloudy this Tuesday in the Region of Murcia, cloud cover intensifying during the afternoon. The yellow warnings are from 12:00 onwards.
They are not expecting any noticeable change in temperatures although interior areas of the region will drop by a couple of degrees. This means maximums remain in the 30’s, top temperatures being:
Maximum temperatures as follows: Murcia City and the Segura River valley, 33 in the far north and Yecla, 30 in the north-west, with Caravaca in the centre at 34, 36 in Lorca and the south-west and 30 in Cartagena and around the Mar Menor.
Minimum temperatures; Murcia City and the Segura River valley, 22 in the far north and Yecla, 18 in the north-west, with Caravaca in the centre at 18, 21 in Lorca and the south-west and 24 in Cartagena and around the Mar Menor.
Average temperatures are much lower than last week, with an average of 23-24 across most of the region, and slightly warmer in coastal areas at 24-25 degrees.
In the interior of the Region, a weak easterly wind will also be noticeable.
