Everyone knows Spain is famous for chorizo, tortilla, and paella, but it may be a surprise to some that cheese is also one of its standout culinary delights. The QuesArte Tomares Artisan Cheese Fair brings the best of Spain’s, and the world’s, cheeses together in Seville this October.

 

Taking place in the lovely Jardines del Conde park in the town of Tomares, Seville, this festival celebrates the rich tradition of Spanish cheeses, with a special focus on those from Andalusia. Entry to the event is free, making it an easy and delightful way to spend a few autumn days outdoors.

 

Visitors can buy cheese directly from the stalls or enjoy tasting bites at the event. For just seven euros, you can sample up to eight cheese tapas paired with drinks including wine, beer, or soft drinks. It’s a great chance to try Manchego, cured, goat, tetilla cheeses, and many many other varieties.

 

The experience doesn’t stop with cheese. You can also indulge in artisanal ice cream from Spain’s top maker, Piamonte D’Ambrosio, as well as traditional Portuguese pastries and chicharrones from Artesanos del Chicharrón.
