The final weekend of the Feria del Mar Menor is being held mainly in Lo Pagán
During the last of the four weekends of the inaugural early autumn Feria del Mar Menor the events shift to the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar.
Over the course of the weekends between September 23 and October 16, 2022, a variety of events including water sports, underwater photography, guided tours, concerts, exhibitions, walking and cycling routes, tapas routes, workshops, arts and crafts and show cooking are being held first in San Javier, then in Cartagena, Los Alcázares and San Pedro del Pinatar.
The events in San Pedro between October 14 and 16 include the following (all are free of charge unless otherwise stated):
Friday October 14
10.00 to 18.00: Mar Menor graffiti exhibition opens at La Ventana al Mar Menor in Calle Magallanes.
12.00: Talk and tastings of food recognized by the Michelin guide on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
12.30: The tapas zone opens at the Gastronomy Fair on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
13.00: Talk and tastings organized by local fishermen on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
16.00: Acoustic concert featuring Antonio Micol on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
17.30, 18.30 and 19.30: Talk and tastings of food recognized by the Michelin guide on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
17.30: The Mini Gourmet zone opens in the marquee on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
20.15: The tapas zone again opens at the Gastronomy Fair on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
22.00: Spanish pop rock concert on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
Saturday October 15
10.00: Guided tour of the salt flats in the Regional Park in San Pedro del Pinatar, beginning at the flamingo roundabout (Avenida del Puerto). Booking details yet to be announced at the time of publication.
10.00h to 18.00: Mar Menor graffiti exhibition at La Ventana al Mar Menor in Calle Magallanes.
12.00: Patricia Pérez of Panadería José Antonio presents a confectionery workshop for both children and adults on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
12.30: The tapas zone opens at the Gastronomy Fair on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
13.00: Talk and tastings organized by local fishermen on the seafront in Lo Pagán with special attention given to the Atlantic blue crab, an invasive species in the Mediterranean.
16.00: Acoustic concert, DJ set Angel Pop on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
17.30: María Gómez of Magoga, a Michelin starred restaurant, gives a presentation on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
17.30: Evening guided tour of the windmills of the area beginning at the Quintín mill in Calle Campoamor. Booking details yet to be announced at the time of publication.
17.30: The Mini Gourmet zone opens in the marquee on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
18.30: Pedro Sánchez of the Venezuela restaurant explains how to make Caldero in five easy steps on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
19.30: Pablo González of Cabaña Buenavista (2 Michelin stars) gives a presentation on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
20.15: The tapas zone again opens at the Gastronomy Fair on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
22.00: Spanish pop rock concert featuring Salva Ortega and a DJ set on the seafront in Lo Pagán.
Sunday October 16

The municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar has one principal tourist information office which is open throughout the year, and then other tourist information points which open during the peak summer months. Due to its location on the fringes of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean coastline, San Pedro del Pinatar has a period of intense summer tourism activity during the peak summer months, although is popular with retirees of all nationalities out of peak season.
Much of the tourism activity is directed into these peak months, although the Salinas natural park and health tourism hotels in San Pedro del Pinatar make this a popular destination throughout the year.
