ARCHIVED - Murcia launches tool to register Covid positive self-tests on national database
The new system will include asymptomatic patients in the Region of Murcia
In an effort to ensure the accuracy of figures related to the coronavirus pandemic in the Region of Murcia, the regional health authorities have revealed that, as of Monday January 24 at 5pm, a new tool will be available that allows people to notify the central administration of a positive Covid infection diagnosed by a self test.
The idea is that this also includes people who have tested positive for Covid who are asymptomatic, those who do not need to take sick leave or receive health care, and people who do not want a Covid passport.
MurciaSalud’s website already has a tab called ‘report positive self-test results’ (‘notificar resultado positivo en autotest’), through which people can report positive antigen tests performed at home.
After reporting through the website that they have coronavirus, those infected will now receive a call from the Covid group in their area, so that the information can be included in the national Ministry of Health database.
In addition, a new tab will now appear, prompting people to “incorporate these positive tests that are carried out at home and do not require sick leave or a certificate”.
Currently, all of the municipalities in the Region of Murcia are at level four – very high risk – and the regional government will continue to request that Covid passports be shown for entry into hospitality venues.
Given the evolution of the virus in the Region, health authorities plan to implement further tools designed to make it easier for people who test positive for Covid at home to alert the Murcian Health Service (SMS).
