ARCHIVED - Mazarrón Town Hall invests 3.9 million euros in improving infrastructures and heritage sites
The Mayor aims to improve life for residents and present a better image to tourists
The local council in Mazarrón has voted in favour of spending over 3.9 million euros on improvements to infrastructures and heritage sites in various parts of the municipality with the aim of improving life for residents and presenting a better image to visitors and tourists.
The total budget of precisely 3,910,071.74 euros is made up of the following items:
Repairs to roads, streets and public spaces: 120,000 euros
Improvements in parks and gardens: 95,000 euros
Extending the cemetery of Puerto de Mazarrón: 839,158.27 euros
Creating artificial reefs in the bay of Mazarrón: 192,472 euros
Restoring and refurbishing the “Casa Solariega” in La Cañadica in order to convert it into a museum: 1,038,964.50 euros
Drawing up the Phoenician Boats Museum project: 150,000 euros
Annual funding of the swimming pool in the sports complex: 419,883.57 euros
Modernization of the food market (Plaza de Abastos) in Puerto de Mazarrón: 80,003.32 euros
Restoration work at the Ateneo Cultural (Casino): 543,718.29 euros
Other work at the Ateneo Cultural (Casino): 425,871.79 euros
