Although she was born in Barcelona, singer, guitarist and composer Anna Luna comes from a Brazilian and Andalusian family and specializes in music with Mediterranean, Latin and jazz roots. She combines her concerts with her work as a singing teacher at the ESEM Higher School of Musical Studies.
Her album “Sola” was nominated as best jazz album of the year 2020 by Enderrock magazine and she is now returning to San Javier after a magnificent concert in 2019 concert at the 22nd edition of the festival to present her new album “Argentina besa el Mediterráneo” (Argentina kisses the Mediterranean), a journey through tango, zamba and Argentine songwriting fused with jazz. Alongside her are a sextet of excellent musicians including the great Catalan pianist Jaume Vilaseca, one of the best in Spain.

Following Anna Luna onto the stage in San Javier is Roberto Fonseca presenting his latest album “La Gran Diversión”. The Cuban pianist and composer, also artistic director of the Havana Jazz Festival, has been nominated several times for the Latin Grammy Awards and is a former member of the Buena Vista Social Club, Roberto Fonseca is one of the brightest jazz talents that Cuba produced in recent decades.
“La Gran Diversión” represents a return to the past in search of the roots of Afro-Cuban music, reliving the golden age of the mambo and the bolero, accompanied by an impressive band, and this concert will leave its mark on the history of the San Javier Jazz Festival
