June 22 and 23 San Juan midsummer celebrations in La Manga

Celebrate the traditional midsummer rituals in La Manga and the Mar Menor

The longest day of the year in 2024 is Thursday 20^th June, but in Spain the traditional midsummer celebrations take place on or around the feast day of San Juan and in La Manga del Mar Menor two evenings of fun and bonfires are planned at the Pabellón Deportivo (km 12) on June 22 and 23.

A range of activities including the inevitable bouncy castles is accompanied by arts and crafts stalls, refreshments, live music, a “queimada”, stilt-walking and of course a bonfire – this is a central element in the Spanish tradition!

The parties take place on Saturday evening from 19.00 to 3.00 in the morning, and then on Sunday from midday to 1.30 in the morning.
