Stanley Clarke is an established superstar of the electric bass and double bass and one of the first jazz musicians to achieve worldwide recognition as an absolute master of both instruments. He has spent several decades at the pinnacle of an instrument that he himself revolutionized in the 70s as a founding member of the fusion group Return to Forever, led by the great Chick Corea.
Milestones in his career include the hugely successful albums "School Days" (1976) and "If This Bass Could Only Talk" (1988), as well as his collaboration with keyboardist George Duke at The Clarke/Duke Project, with whom he recorded three albums, or the supergroup SMV with Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten.
A great opportunity to enjoy the art of this living legend of jazz in his first concert at San Javier Jazz.
The concert begins at 22.30 in the open-air Auditorio Municipal with tickets priced at 25 euros. Season tickets are also available: for bookings and further information click here.
