Calexico is a band founded by guitarist and singer Joey Burns and drummer John Convertino in Tucson, Arizona, and is a clear example of how much beauty the mix of North American independent rock and the Latin musical tradition can generate. With twelve fantastic albums in their discography (the last of which is El Mirador (2022)), Calexico released a special edition in 2023 celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Feast of Wire”, a masterful album, a pleasant memory for lovers of frontier rock. This is their first concert at the San Javier Jazz Festival and the band are offering a review of their extensive repertoire, with special focus on the acclaimed “Feast of Wire.”

John Covertino: drums
