Car-enthusiasts can visit the iconic car exhibition in the centre of Cartagena
Cartagena is set to host the XIII International Classic Car Elegance Contest this weekend, between October 29 and 31.A fleet of exceptional and rare classic vehicles will arrive in Cartagena, allowing residents and visitors the chance to have a first-hand look at cars from the mid-20th century. This contest dates back to 2002, when it was first hosted in Madrid, where around 40,000 car enthusiasts visited the car exhibitions. The International Classic Car Elegance Contest has also travelled through other important Spanish cities such as Salamanca and Toledo. This year, the cars, including modern supercars as well as classic models, will be parked along Avenida de la Terminal de Cruceros in Cartagena, between the Town Hall and Paseo Alfonso XII.During the presentation of the event on October 21, two iconic models were put on display; a 1940 Buick and a 1965 Mercedes 220 S.Images: Ayuntamiento de Cartagena
