The courses include Spanish classes for native English speakers

The Universidad Popular in Mazarrón offers a wide range of courses for the 2021-2022 season, with a mixture of courses aimed at both adult and teenage audiences.

All of the classes are paid tuition and must be booked in advance.

In most cases the courses are only offered in Spanish, but the programme does include a number of English language courses teaching Spanish to foreign residents, details of which are below.

The programme offers a huge range of educational activities including musical tuition, handicrafts, art courses, Tai Chi, history, computer skills, business education and lots more, some of which are not really language specific and can still be enjoyed by non-native speakers once they have successfully navigated the booking procedure and managed to register; full details of these can be found on this pdf, which is in Spanish. HOW TO REGISTER
When registering, bear in mind that there are courses for children, young people and adults. For enrolment of students under 16 years of age signed parental consent must be provided and DNI of the father, mother or guardian.

Places will be assigned in strict order of application.

The registration period will begin on September 21 of 2021.

Online registration will be available from September 21, 2021. Enrolment can be made via the web www.upmazarron.es.

In the online registration, if the payment is made by card you must send an electronic copy of the payment to the email universidadpopulardemazarron @ gmail. com, that is, the JUSTIFICATION OF THE PAYMENT FROM YOUR BANK SHOWING THE ENROLLED NAME.

Enrolment will not be effective until it has been completed, the payment of the amount has been approved and the receipt corresponding to the Popular University issued.

SPANISH COURSE I (A1 – Part 1)
OBJECTIVES
A native teacher will lead you through the first part of level A1 of the Common European Framework of reference for Languages in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere, helping you to speak, read, write and listen from day 1. At the end of the course you will be  able to understand simple language used in everyday situations.

WHO FOR
For complete beginners, students who have never studied Spanish before.

SPANISH COURSE II (A1 – Part 2)
OBJECTIVES
The course is focused on developing the four skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) at A1(second part) level of the Common European Framework of reference for Languages. Your professional trained teacher will be using up-to-date teaching methods. The course aims to help to communicate in a range of everyday social and travel contexts, such as restaurants, doctor ́s, market stalls, hotels, etc.

For students who have done a one-year Spanish course.

SPANISH COURSE III (A2)
OBJECTIVES
This course aims at leading students through the second level (A2) of the Common European Framework of reference for Languages. At the end of this level students can sit for the DELE
exam in order to apply for Spanish citizenship.

For students who have finished level II at Universidad Popular or a two-year course.
