ARCHIVED - Electric guitar exhibition extended at Almeria Guitar Museum until May 23
The exhibition includes guitars played by Brian May (Queen), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Noel Gallagher (Oasis), Eric Clapton, George Harrison (The Beatles), Van Halen, The Edge (U2) and others!
A very special display of electric guitars currently running at Almeria City’s Museo de la Guitarra has proved so popular that the museum has announced it will remain open until 23 May.
The 'Eléctricas' exhibition, which has been running since the end of December, includes treasures such as those played by Agnus Young (AC/DC), Brian May (Queen), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Noel Gallagher (Oasis), Eric Clapton, George Harrison (The Beatles), Van Halen, Bono and The Edge (U2), Joe Satriani, Mark Knopler and Richie Sambora.
The Antonio Torres Spanish Guitar Museum is located in the historical centre of Almeria, to the south of the cathedral, and is an unmissable visit for anyone interested in music and guitars.
Tickets cost three euros or two euros for those aged under 18 or over 64. Children under the age of six get in free.
Winter opening times (1 October to 30 May) are from 10.30 am. to 1.30 pm Tuesday to Sunday and also from 5 pm. to 8 pm. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Summer opening times (1 June to 30 September) are from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm Tuesday to Sunday and also from 6 pm. to 9 pm. on Fridays and Saturdays.
