Police in Crevillente temporarily closed a bar in the early hours of Tuesday morning (August 24) after they found around 100 people drinking and flouting anti-Covid measures after closing time.

"The hospitality sector in Creviellente has always been collaborative to help end this pandemic, and that is why we are taking responsibility for ending the unsupportive attitudes of the minority", says the local police, adding: "We are winning this fight thanks to science and the health system, so let's all do our part in this final stretch of the battle".

Elsewhere in the Baix Vinalopo area of Alicante province, police in Elche broke up a 100-strong illegal party at the protected Clot de Galvany de Arenales del Sol natural park on Saturday night (August 21). while colleagues in Novelda discovered 200 people partying at a farm in La Serreta.
