Parque Almansa in San Javier

The Parque Almansa is centrally situated in the heart of San Javier, being the location for many outdoor events and cultural activities within the San Javier municipality.

The main focal point is the large outdoor auditorium (concrete seats, those in the know always bring a cushion) which is the home of the San Javier Jazz Festival, followed closely by the San Javier Theatre and Dance Festival, as well as for a number of concerts and performances throughout the year.

There is also a covered Recinto Ferial, the focal point for local Fiestas and a number of different events.

There is a restaurant and café bar situated within the park area, as well as gardens providing some shade from the summer heat and a skatepark facility.

The whole is enclosed within a protective wall and plenty of parking is available within the park area.

On the main nights of the Jazz Festival the car park fills up, but for the majority of occasions there is more than sufficient car parking to ensure that streets around the park are not inconvenienced by the volumes of cars, although if there is an overspill, this is usually absorbed fairly easily by the surrounding streets.
