ARCHIVED - 20th December to 1st March, Sensaciones Somos Naturaleza art exhibition in Cartagena
Works by Margarita Ariza are on display at the Palacio Consistorial in Cartagena
An exhibition of work by artist Margarita Ariza is being held at the Palacio Consistorial, the main Town Hall building in Cartagena, until 1st March 2020 under the title of “Sensaciones, somos naturaleza”.
The intention of the artist in this exhibition is to explore the feelings of human beings when confronting nature and to address the vulnerability of the planet Earth. On display are four installations, five sculptures and a glass display table containing images, and the materials used include soil, stones, wood, straw and textiles as well as tree trunks and branches.
Margarita Ariza Copado is a native of the city of Cartagena who now lives and works in Madrid, and although she has worked in a variety of artistic disciplines she is best known for her sculpture.
“Sensaciones Somos Naturaleza” can be visited at the Palacio Consistorial on weekdays from 10.00 to 13.30 and 17.00 to 19.00, on Saturdays from 10.00 to 13.30 and 17.00 to 20.00 and on Sundays and public holidays from 10.00 to 13.30 only. The exhibition opens on Mondays only when cruise ships are docked in the port.
